What to expect on the day of RF Microneedling?
On the day of your treatment, your skin will be cleaned to prevent infection and a topical numbing agent will be applied, and given time to set in your skin (up to one hour). Once the skin is numb, your assigned provider will begin using the RF microneedling device on the specified areas of treatment. This step can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the amount of surface area being worked on.
The final step is to apply a growth solution to support cell regeneration. Once all the procedure steps are completed, your provider may offer a soothing solution to minimize any discomfort if you feel any pain. Since the procedure is non-invasive, you will be able to resume regular activities after your appointment.
RF Microneedling Recovery
There is no downtime required after RF microneedling, but there are some key steps your provider will recommend to ensure a smooth recovery on your road to achieving bright and healthy skin.
Ice packs can be applied for any areas that feel swollen or irritated after the treatment. Avoid makeup and other chemical-based products on your skin for 24 hours.
It is important to wear SPF for several weeks after your treatment. Your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun during this time. Using a gentle cleanser on your skin at home is advised to keep the skin clean without harsh chemicals.
